Ms. Lisa York

Ms. York is excited to be in her fourth year of teaching at Peachtree Ridge High School. Though she grew up in Ohio, she now enjoys being a Georgia Peach, sipping down sweet tea and incorporating "y'all" into everyday language. Previously, Ms. York taught on a Navajo Reservation in Arizona, learning about sweat lodges and sheep slaughtering (not her favorite as a vegetarian). She is a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio (which was a college before Florida was a state!). This year, she is teaching students in 11th grade American Literature (CP and Pre-AP). She is one of few people to love The Scarlet Letter (and only wishes her students would, too!). Additionally, she is the JV girls' soccer coach, looking forward to a fun and successful season.
